Youth Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher Training


Overview

30 hour training:

18 in class hours (3 Saturdays 10:00 am - 4:00 pm)

4 hours Pre-requiste Reading

4 hours of Online | In Person observation

4 hours Practicum 

In class training days:

April 25th, May 9th, May 23rd (10:00 am - 4:00 pm) *Must attend all three dates in person.

This 30 hr introductory teacher training is designed for anyone who is looking to share the practices of yoga & mindfulness with kids and teens to improve wellness.

SEL and wellness programing for kids has never been so important. Let’s look at the facts today’s youth are facing:

  • Half of all mental health disorders begin by age 14.

  • 39% of high school students self report challenges with anxiety and depression.

  • 62% of teachers are extremely concerned about their mental health.

  • Young people aged 15 to 24 are more likely to experience mental illness and/or substance use disorders than any other age group.

After taking this introductory training you will…

  • Receive a certificate of completion at the end of your training that certifies you to teach yoga to children, teens, and their families. 

  • Gain a holistic and pragmatic understanding of wellness practices for today’s youth.

  • Feel confident in teaching and feeling ready to share yoga & mindfulness with the youth in your community.

  • Learn practical, developmentally appropriate, evidence based, yoga, mindfulness, breathing, games, and activities that you can use in your classes, at home, or at school.

  • Connect with like-minded and passionate youth yoga teachers. Stay connected after the training to share, engage and learn from each other.

  • Take home your new toolbox of skills, practices, tips, tricks and best practices to start your own small youth yoga business.
