Looking for the Magic in the Mess!

So much is shifting on our little planet from moment to moment. In the midst of all the the madness I often like to take stock of the magic. Yes, that is right...I try to look for the magic in the mess. When I feel overwhelmed or overcome my things out of my control...I lean into empowering questions like..."What is the blessing in this mess?" or "What lesson is being presented here?"

Here are a few blessings that I have found in all the mess of our current global health challenges.

1. Less travel means our little planet get a break, some time to rest and breath. Fewer planes, trains and automobiles running temporarily means our planet gets a much deserved few days off. We need time to rest and reset! So does it!

2. People step away from the hectic and manic speed of their lives and are encouraged to spend time at home with family. Play games, bake, cook meals together, watch movies, play board games, do a family puzzle, play outside.

3. We become more present and have a moment to rest. Take time to get outside. Go for a walk and deeply breath in the fresh mountain air.

4. People improve their hygiene practices. I know this has been a blessing at our house...no more nail chewing & regular hand washing before meals!

5. People have a chance to look at & change some of their habits, improve their overall health and boost their immune systems.

6. Companies like Zoom see a huge increase in a demand for their business and make it more accessible for folks to work from home now and in the future.

These are just some of the blessings I became aware of in the midst of the current mess. Take some time to press pause and ask your own empowering questions about this mess. You might be shocked at what you discover!

Once this is all over, I sense we will have a very different understanding of how connected we all are. It may even be the blessing that changes the way we work, play, and live in our lives.

Stay happy & healthy my friends!
